Braswell Child Development Center mission is to increase the value of early childhood education by providing an environment that enhances each child's interest to learn and the ability to become an independent thinker through developmentally appropriate activities. Since 1994 Spida Inc ensures Braswell CDC utilizes the research based developmentally appropriate curriculum Frog Street. This tool provides intentional activities and supports four developmental domains as follows: Language, cognitive, social emotional, and physical learning.
Spida, Inc houses an on-site 5,000 square foot roller skate facility that fosters and strengthens gross motor development in the South Dallas Community. Beginning at age 2, children are encouraged to experience the skill of body balancing and master the art of moving on wheels with the aid of their teacher. Opportunities are available for parents to host birthday parties, community partners such as Fraizer Revitalization, Dallas Cultural Center, local area child care facilities (For Keep Sakes, Jeanettes Little Heaven, Kids Concepts)just to name a few.
We have a number of partners provide car seats, diapers, clothing, hygiene items, utility assistance and other family resources. As we highlight “Ms. Lucy Toye“ with Catholic Charities they offer parenting classes to our parents and the community.
White Rock Lions Club Provide free annual vision and hearing screenings to children in house at our center. We encourage parents to take an interest in their childs health and wellness overall.
Spida Inc encourages each employee to widen their knowledge of early childhood education by sharing resources with Dallas College. Book purchase, learning tools, and a laptop is provided by Spida, to ensure a successful experience.
